2020 Crawford River Riesling
This wine is a wonderful example of a pretty, cool year on our site. Lemon blossom and white, perfumed floral notes lead the way, with white nectarine and yellow citrus close behind. Limestone mineral elements lay the groundwork for a complex, textured palate which is structured and poised. The balanced line of slightly saline acidity runs throughout, lending shape to the long finish. A pleasure to drink.

Both crushed and whole-bunch fruit, pressed, fermented in stainless steel with neutral yeast, left 10 weeks on lees, not fined. A marvel! So fully formed in its youth and delivering outstanding deliciousness. The maker balances ripe riesling fruit – white nectarine, grapefruit, Delicious apple, lime – with racy, cool-climate acidity to deliver a wine complex in flavour, warm in texture and lively in personality. It's quite a feat.
