Light-bodied, perfumed red wine that opens with aromas of wild cherry, blood orange, rose petals, and hints of cedar and nutmeg. Foot-trodden whole clusters and wild yeast fermentation give it a natural, expressive character. Aged for 12 months in old French oak and local chestnut barrels, it shows fine tannins, herbal lift (thyme, sage), and a long, mineral finish. Despite its delicacy, the 2019 vintage brings a touch more power and structure due to the solar year.
