One of Australia’s finest rieslings; a benchmark riesling. Murrumbateman’s cool, continental climate and decomposed granite soils are perfectly suited to Riesling. The 2023 season saw the long tail of La Nina deliver a cool, rain-soaked spring and the latest harvest since 2011. Genuine summer heat finally arrived in January followed by a (mostly) sunny autumn. The warmth made all the difference. Bright floral notes and citrus fruit power here. Delicate in the palate, with great energy, endless mouth-watering length. Drink now or cellar for up to 20 years and watch it develop lime and toast characters with age.

Pale colour and an intense floral, yeasty, jasmine-like fragrance, extremely lifted perfume of a cool-year riesling.

“A thoroughly beautiful riesling, lovely now and destined for a bright future.”

It's also delicate and fine in the mouth, with a touch of well-judged sweetness. A thoroughly beautiful riesling, lovely now and destined for a bright future. This off-dry style suits the cool, late vintage, perhaps.

    Huon Hooke, The Real Review

Very good riesling, gently mid-weighted, vibrant and as reliant on unresolved C02 for verve, as much as the juicy thread of palpably natural acidity running from attack to vibrato finish.

“A lick of sweetness placates the acidity beautifully, with an overall effect of dainty poise”

Far from the South Australian norm, with aromas of green apple granita, nashi pear eau de vie, finger lime and anise skittering long.

A lick of sweetness placates the acidity beautifully, with an overall effect of dainty poise and ultimately, dryness. Drink or hold.
