This wine is a tryst of Cabernet Franc and Malbec, with massale selections sourced from Clos Rougeard and Clos Triguedina. The blend also includes Négrette, Prunelart, and Cot à Pied Rouge, grown on limestone-rich soils. Winemaker Emmanuel Bourguignon harvested early to preserve vibrancy and mineral tension, aiming to “capture the freshness of the rocks.” On the palate, it’s elegant and aromatic, with notes of dark cherry, dried herbs, plum, and earthy bramble, framed by fine tannins and a savory finish. It defies expectations of the region’s rustic reds, offering a more refined, terroir-driven expression.
