Tannins are fine, chalky, and confidently firm, showing the influence of the Shay’s Flat site — more muscular and architectural than the Illustrious OG. The mid‑palate reveals dried herb, tomato leaf, earthy spice, and a cool iron‑mineral thread, adding depth and a slightly darker, more serious profile. The finish is dry, long, and tightly shaped, leaving red‑berry, herbal, and mineral echoes with persistent grip.
