Mitolo 7th Son Shiraz Grenache Sagrantino

Medium ruby with purple hues. Gorgeously expressive with lifted aromas of spiced plum, strawberry, black cherry, violet and cedar. Lovely weight with equal elements of sweet spice and ripe fruit. Satsuma plum, cherry, cinnamon and vanilla mesh perfectly with refreshing acidity and fine grained tannins. Full-bodied, but soft and harmonious, it finishes long with a silky mouthfeel. Mitolo's best 7th Son to date.

The grenache plays a leading role and provides dark cherry lift and a seductive, almost slippery mid palate. The shiraz provides some weight to the juicy mouth feel as well as dark fruits and earthy olive tapenade characters. And finally Sagrantino, despite its low proportion, adds beautiful dry earth, cigar box-like savoury lift with those signature tannins giving a drying, snappy finish.
