Mountadam Five Fifty Chardonnay

The Mountadam Vineyards Five Fifty range is aptly named after the Estates altitude of 550m above sea level. All Mountadam wines (including the Five Fifty range) are sourced entirely from our Estate of 147 hectares undervine. The Five Fifty range offers amazing quality for price value being made from Mountadam’s 2001 SA125 clone Cabernet Sauvignon plantings. A balanced fruit aromas and flavor is sought, capturing the exquisite characteristics of the Chardonnay grape without the influence of oak. Intense lively fruit aromas carry through on the palate, which displays ripe apple, pear and peach characters with a distinct fresh acidity, typical of cool climate Chardonnay. There are flavours of grilled nuts with clove and nutmeg spice woven around a green apple and citrus core. Elegant on the palate.
