Picardy Merlot Cabernet

Picardy Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc is a blend of approximately 40% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Destemmed and transferred to small open fermenters, with hand plunging four times daily. 12 months' maturation in new to four year old French oak barriques.

A wide spectrum of aromas and flavours, ranging from bright red fruits through to darker black currants and berries, with spicy, earthy notes of star anise and tomato leaf, framed by subtle oak, clean acidity and fine, chalky tannins. An exceptional expression of the Right Bank style.
