Rising Chardonnay

Whole-bunch pressed to a mix of French barriques, hogsheads and puncheon (25% new). A light, bright green gold. There's lot to like from the first whiff with its discreet aromas of just-ripened orchard fruits, white flowers and just a little flint. The palate is both flavoursome and fine boned and the finish is saline and long. That it will age nicely over the next three to four years is a bonus.  Philip Rich : 95 Points : Halliday Wine Companion
