Rolf Binder Eden Valley Riesling Pale straw in colour, this Riesling is quite perfumed, with highlights of the inevitable lemon and lime indicative of this varietal. Expresses lovely rose floral & candied musk on the nose. Good acidity lifts the crisp, fresh palate, leaving a finish of lemon peel with zesty lime. Riesling with the perfect balance of fruit and acid. Enjoy this Riesling while young and fresh, or store some bottles in the cellar for great drinking in 10+ years.

2018 Release: “It has just the right hit of florals, ginger spice, lemon zest and a dab of buttered toast to please. And enough freshness and lift across its gentle palate to satisfy.” 95 points – GOLD, drink to 2027. James Halliday 2020 Wine Companion 2017 Release: “Riesling from the Eden Valley is an elixir for the soul for it has texture. And this also has length and the lick of sweetness cut with requisite zesty acidity. More regional expression and lift come from florals of citrus blossom and roses with a hint of baked quince plus lemon-lime juiciness.” 95 points – GOLD, drink to 2030. James Halliday 2019 Wine Companion 2016 Release: “A delicate riesling of lime juice and spring water, honey blossom and quince. The wine is of a slate-like texture, dry and balletic; drawn long and taut by juicy, ever-flowing acidity showcasing fine intensity of flavour”. 95 points – GOLD, drink to 2031. James Halliday 2018 Wine Companion “Floral and spicy, subtle tropical fruit and ripe lemon. Flavoursome with a pleasing limey tang, dusting of powdery texture, some lime leaf and a crunchy lime-laced finish of excellent persistence. Bursting to please”. 93 points, Gary Walsh The Wine Front, September 2016 2015 Release: “One of those wines stating the case for the Eden Valley to be rated/appreciated/preferred to the Clare Valley. But it’s a specific case which doesn’t of itself prove a general rule. Its special quality is the purity of the mouth-caressing lime juice, from one perspective powerful, from another delicate.” 95 points – GOLD, James Halliday 2016 Wine Companion “A finely crafted, fragrant riesling of balance and pretty lemon blossom and granny smith apple fruit, with a note of mandarin reflecting ripeness. Purity of sweet, ripe, polished fruit, even acidity and fine minerality linger long and harmonius.” 92 points, Tyson Stelzer & Kendall Dobson, Wine Taste Weekly, November 2015 Drink to: 2022
