Twinwoods Estate ‘Optivus’ Cabernet Sauvignon

This outstanding cabernet is a result of selection of the best barrels. Tasted a couple of years ago, but it has now moved up a notch or two. Still firm, structured and stylish in one fell swoop. The fruit is beautifully concentrated and set off against the powdery chalky fine tannins, creating such an elegant, poised palate. The aromas of black olive tapenade and bay leaf with the deep fruitier tones of blackcurrant really fill the middle palate. Every time I look at this it seems to get better. Long cellaring time ahead of it.
