West Cape Howe Styx Gully Chardonnay

Bright with a light pale straw colour. Has delicate stone fruit aromas of white nectarine with hints of honeydew melon. There is a fine backbone of oak with a rich nuttiness, in the Styx we see some lovely, fresh-roasted macadamia nut characters with a hint of Brazil nut. A very subtle but beautifully flavoured Chardonnay. It has quite a tight palate at this stage with a really fine acidity. It is delicate while still being quite textural and its clean, crisp acidity gives it a good length of flavour. The lees contact post fermentation has contributed to its great palate and the oak has contributed also, but in a very understated way.
