The palate is dark‑fruited, supple, and immediately charming, opening with black cherry, plum, and ripe raspberryshaped by the warmer pockets of the Upper Yarra. A mid‑palate of spice, violet, and gentle earthiness reflects the 20% whole‑bunch component, adding aromatic lift and fine, powdery tannin. The texture is silky and medium‑bodied, more forward and fruit‑driven than the Estate Pinot, yet still carrying the Hoddles Creek signature of purity and restraint. The finish is fresh, lightly savoury, and quietly mineral, tapering with dark‑berry skin, subtle spice, and a clean, cool‑climate snap.
