Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Chardonnay

The philosophy is to craft a chardonnay of great purity, reflecting our site and the season in which it was grown. It’s the attention and care in the vineyard that is most critical to allowing that expression. A warm summer with resultant early harvest, produced wines that have great intensity, detailed structure and excellent depth of flavour. Each parcel of chardonnay was carefully handpicked with minimal intervention. The chardonnay was whole bunch pressed and transferred with solids. It was then left to mature on lees for 12 months, without malolatic fermentation proceeding. Defined by its fresh, citrus blossom aromatic lift and precise long, lingering finish. Characteristic pure and intense aroma. The palate is poised and complex, with layered fruit flavours. Tightly wound together with a precise minerality, the wine has beautiful line and length. Cellar for at least five years, the wine will go well past 10 years.
