The hallmark of this wine is 250 day post-ferment maceration which imparts incredibly silky texture and refinement to the palate, creating a textural wine with depth, structure, vibrant acidity and defined tannins. Stunning now, it will gradually evolve over the medium term.

Always at the pointy end of this nation’s grenache offering, the Tri-Centenary is an absolute bargain when you consider its glorious track record and that the vines were planted in 1889 ... bonkers. Where else in the world would you find that? It sports a pinot-esque hue and aromas of red plum and cherry fruits on a bed of fine spices along with hints of orange rind, gingerbread, sandalwood, ironstone, purple flowers and light meaty tones. Plenty of detail and meaty nuance on the palate, too, which features a wide, fine tannin flex, bright minerally acid drive and a gentle fan of spiced red fruits on the sustained finish.
