Yeringberg Pinot Noir
The Pinot Noir vines were planted from 1969 to 1974, so are now well and truly mature and always low-yielding. The two different clones; MV6 and a clone originally from Great Western (known as the Rutherglen clone).
Yeringberg is a Yarra Valley farm, vineyard and winery, established in 1863 and now heading into its fifth generation of forward-thinking custodianship by the de Pury family. A Pinot Noir made with great finesse. Velvety, earthy structured Pinot Noir. Classic rich Yarra Valley Pinot Noir with dark black cherries and a touch of redcurrants, supported by a slightly herbal edge under a cedar oak framework. Robust warm palate with dry, fine yet slightly chewy tannins. Herbs, cedar oak and cherry flavours.
